Pregnant Woman Dies in Fatal Crash

Accidents happen every day on Atlanta’s busy roads. Most of them don’t involve any serious injuries, and insurance can sometimes cover the costs. There’s even the possibility that certain types of insurance may kick in in the case of catastrophic injury. However, when someone dies from an accident insurance may not be enough.

In a very tragic case that happened on the 14th, a Duluth woman and her unborn child died in a crash near Pleasant Hill Road and Venture Drive. Police say that three cars were involved in the accident, one of which was a cargo van. The driver of one of the cars has been charged with failure to yield while turning left, second degree vehicular homicide, and feticide by vehicle. Officials are checking his immigration status. Others were injured as well, but the story does not reveal the extent of these.

The circumstances have not been released, but the fact remains that a mother and her unborn child were killed in this accident. The father of the child now has to face the burden of losing two people, one of which he has never met. The suffering induced by this incident might be considerable. Plus, there are other associated costs that might not be covered by insurance.

Even if insurance were to cover everything, sometimes a person feels they need more justice to feel at peace with what happened. The lawyers at Stokes & Kopitsky can lend you a compassionate and honest ear, and advise you on your chances of winning a lawsuit. Call our office today for a free, no-obligation consultation.
